BizTalk Server 2016 CTP2 is here!

Microsoft has taken a new step in its strategic plan for the integration technologies releasing last night the CTP2 (Community Technology Preview) for BizTalk Server 2016 and Host Integration Server 2016.

In this new version have been fixed the problems detected by the community in the CTP1 and have been included minor changes:

  • WCF-SQL Server adapter supports connecting to Azure SQL Database and AlwaysOn Availability Groups.
  • The FILE adapter supports connecting to Azure File Share.

As announced in Integrate 2016 the new version also includes a new modern look and feel for the BizTalk Administration console:


And for the Orchestration Designer in Visual Studio 2015:


But what we all expected with this new CTP was to be able to have a first contact with the new adapter for Logic Apps, although it seems like we still have to wait as it will be released in a separate release.
